I have two favorite mugs I use everyday. The one below and one from the Fire Museum that Tara gave me. My coffee just seems to taste better in both of them.

I recently attended a birthday party for a lovely friend and co-worker of mine. Alina Amores works at our Haulover Marina in North Miami Beach. She celebrated her 50th birthday in a big way on the deck at the marina. It was a great crowd, music, drinks and terrific food. These are just a few pics of some of the great people I am privileged to work with.

March is also the birthday month for a couple of other folks. Jesse and Neva both celebrate this month. Since Jesse lives about a kazillion miles away and Neva is the Howard Hughes of picture taking, I have to settle on some 'older' snaps from my collection.

 



My brother Jack was one to always look forward to enjoying his birthday. I have a few funny older pictures of him from his youth that most have not seen before. If he was here, he would get a laugh out of them.

 

 

 

 

Daylight savings time is Sunday March 13. Spring Forward and replace batteries in your smoke detectors.

 

Spring is Sunday March 20th. What? Wait?....Did we have a winter? I remember putting on a jacket, like three times..

 

I am in the process of having a family of raccoons evicted from my attic. I am hoping that there has not been any damage yet. So much for getting a new computer any time soon!

My annual visit by the Martian Lung Rot kept its appointment. This year it has lasted about 2 weeks. It is almost gone leaving behind the inevitable cough.

Ok...I had to look at this one a couple of times. The ribs are buy one pack get one free. Great deal. If you use you card you save $5.00?    How?.. They are priced by the pound. Every package has a different price. If you buy One for $7.54 and the second is free then how are you saving $5.00? Presumedly, you will pick the second one at $7.54 or close since it is free. I am no rocket surgeon, but that means you are saving $7.54 not $5.00. Duh!

(BTW, The $5.00 is not off the per lb. cost)
