MARCH 2018

HAPPY
ST. PATRICK'S DAY

This is also Neva's Birthday month
And Jack who would have been 61 this year
1979

Not only did we have a complete remodel of our offices but they also did a total new landscaping outside. It is really nice to walk into so much South Florida beauty when you go to work.              A before and after shot.

I have been following the progress of the new additional hotel being built at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood. Yes it is in the shape of a guitar. A very BIG guitar.

My boss recently visited NYC and one of the things she and her daughter did was get tickets to Good Morning America. I was able to capture a pic of them on the show from my TV.
I planted the cuttings of giant sunflowers I got from my friend Wayne up in Venus Florida (pop. 700).  The seem to be doing pretty good. Doesn't appear the recent cold snap hurt them at all.

This check happened to cross my desk this week. He has a boat at our marina in Haulover Beach.

FEBRUARY 2018

February is a short month and this will be a short post.
My friend Barbara and I at the Flip the Flamingo Fly In square dance weekend in St. Petersburg. Lot of dancing, lot of food and a lot of fun. The 'Virgin' on or tags is because this was our first Flip the Flamingo.
Good turnout for our group South Florida Mustangs

I hope your February was good.  March will be better.

JANUARY 2018

Welcome to another New Year. Sending out best wishes for health, wealth and happiness to all of our friends and family.

Also wishing for less stress and aggravation for those of us on opposite ends of the political spectrum. I still hold the belief that our country is much stronger than whoever is in any political office at any given time. If there is a screw up we will fix it.

Christmas 2017 at the Larkin Plantation was full of gifts and plenty of food and laughs.
All dieting went out the window with the terrific prime rib dinner. I did provide the dessert and one of the pecan pies were sugar free so I did not feel toooo bad.
The opening of the gifts and stockings took up most of the afternoon.
HAVE A GREAT 2018!

DECEMBER 2017

December is here which brings 2017 to a close. Time sure is going by quickly.

2017 closed with sadness as the Larkin-Draisey family has grown smaller. Buddy Draisey passed away on November 26th. Buddy had a tough life but had found a great deal of happiness in the last few years after he met Julie. He told me a few years back that he was happy and was hoping to get married. Time did not allow for that, but it was good to know that Julie was there and brought him peace.
Buddy is survived by Julie Smith, his kids Edwin Hunter, Jacob and Jessica Draisey, his sisters Linda James and Neva Larkin and his brothers Fuzzy and Steve Larkin.
Julie is planning a small memorial in January to plant a tree at their home.
