OCTOBER 2015

October brings with it cooler, drier weather and golden leaves
falling to the ground. Uhh...not here. We have hot and rainy weather and the only golden leaves on the ground are the palm fronds we were too lazy to pick up. We do know that we will have those longed for 70 degree days eventually, just not until way after everyone else.

October does bring a birthday for our much loved sister, Linda James. And being the dutiful brother I am I must do my duty and post some pictures that she will probably yell at me for. I am not worried since she has always been the one in the family that takes the best pictures.
Jesse and Linda at my house in June 2002

Probably early 1960's - Jr. High?

This appears to be around 2004.
That little monkey on her back
is Marley at 3 or 4 years old.
The street urchin being annoying
seems to be a 12 or 13 year old Jesse.
I got the graphic below from a non-English sight. Could you tell?
Linda is also the best sister ON earth!

High school. What's with all those curls?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
also goes out to Sunny. His birthday is on
the 7th. of October.

I have known Sunny for 8 years. I attended his ceremony when he got his Masters Degree and his swearing in as U.S. citizen.

Marty and I have known each other for
48 years. He is one month older than me.

YEE HAW!

They have convinced me to join their Square Dancing Club. I went to a couple of exhibition dances and joined in for the guest dances. I did ok and it is good exercise.

Besides, I really like the T shirts. They have a little rhinestone for the mustangs eye! Cool Huh?

I drive to Miami and back two of my three days a week at work. during that drive I occasionally run across things that I find interesting or amusing. I also find things of interest in my day to day travels.  I put my phone to good use on these trips.

This was a really cool cloud bank that went all around the sky

The same cloud bank viewed through the double doors of the storage barn
The next picture was taken at a local store. I am use to the machines occasionally being in Spanish, but not one that makes no sense in English.

Do you see a button that says CANCEL or OK?

Sometimes I get held up by accidents, fortunately not my own. When this happens I-95 is not the place to be. This first one was between two semis in the express lanes. I was heading north so I was in the regular lanes. I only can use the express on the way down.

No one was hurt but it sure snarled up traffic.

This was very strange. This burned out car was sitting in the middle of an intersection in Bal Harbour, one of the richest areas of Miami Beach. There were no cops or anyone else around. I assume everything was done and it was just waiting for the tow truck. Still looked very out of place.

It is not very clear, but I took this because the price was so high. $7.00 for the express lanes. I have seen it even as high as $8.75. I'm glad I am not paying.

This is right after the above pic. It is hard to read, but it says 'Express Lns Closed'.

Notice the orange barriers  on the right. The closed sign does not appear until after you are in the express lanes and cannot move over.
